Magnum Opus
This is my fifth book. As I mentioned before, my first draft is done, but I am taking on feedback from my beta readers. One in particular has sent me a very detailed report on his findings, and as aa established author, I am taking his points very seriously. This has resulted in a major rewrite and I am working every day to improve my work. I have completed most of it now but will carry on until I am satisfied. Its no good going to the editor too soon. You must be fully satisfied with your work, because so much time and cost will go into the next process.
I didn’t bother to have my first 2 books edited and this was a mistake. I had to hire an editor and rewrite the books. The end product was much more professional the second time round and the books have been better received and they have sold more.
My current work includes an additional chapter in the middle of the book. I therefore have a month or 2 of work until I am ready for the editor.
